Administration of Elections
The Perry County Election Commission administers and oversees federal, state, and local elections for Perry County, Tennessee, including the City of Linden and the City of Lobelville.
Local elections in Tennessee Counties are administered by the Tennessee Secretary of State. Vist the state website for detailed information.
The Commission manages voter registration, conducts elections, provides voter and candidate education, and ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal election laws. Through careful planning, secure processes, and public accountability, the Election Commission safeguards the integrity of local elections.

Elections in 2026
The Perry County Election Commission will administer the following elections in 2026:
- May 5, 2026: State and County Primary. This will designate the party candidates for state judicial offices and applicable county offices.
- August 6, 2026: Primary and General Election. This is the primary election to select candidates for Governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, Tennessee Senate (odd-numbered districts), Tennessee House, Republican and Democratic State Executive Committees, and vacant state judicial offices, and applicable county offices.
- November 3, 2026: State and Federal General Election. Voters will choose their candidates for Governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, Tennessee Senate, and Tennessee House.

Voter Registration
There is no more important responsibility of citizenship than voting! If you are not yet registered to vote, you are welcome to register in person at the Perry County Election Commission Office at 133 Factory Street in Linden. You can also register to vote online with the State of Tennessee.

To become a Registered Voter, you must be at least 18 years old at the time of the next election. You MUST NOT have been convicted of a felony unless you have had your voting rights restored if you have been convicted. You must be a United States citizen. You must live in Tennessee. All voter registrations must be complete at least 30 days before the upcoming election to vote.
To exercise your right to vote at the poll, either on Election Day or during early voting, you must produce a Tennessee Driver's License, a Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security Identification, a United States Passport, or a photo ID issued by the federal or Tennessee state government or US military photo ID or a Tennessee handgun carry permit with a photo.
Voter Eligibility
To be eligible to vote in Tennessee:
- You must be a citizen of the United States.
- You must be (18) years of age or older on or before the date of the next election.

- If you have been convicted of a felony, your eligibility to register and vote depends on the crime and the date of your conviction. If your conviction made you ineligible, you may regain your eligibility if your conviction has been expunged or if you have had your voting rights restored, unless you were convicted of a crime that rendered you permanently ineligible to vote. In order to participate in an election, a qualified voter must be properly registered no later than thirty (30) days before the election. The election commission office will process any by-mail voter registration form that has been postmarked at least thirty (30) days before the election. T.C.A 2-2-109.
